2022 RAM 1500 Rebel Review

The RAM 1500 lineup is a legend among pickup trucks. The first RAM pickup was launched in 1981 and has never stopped improving. The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel is part of this lineup (or should we say lineage?) and brings very interesting features compared to similar vehicles. Come with us and learn more about the most updated version of this offroad dinosaur.

Performance and Driveability

The RAM 1500 lineup has six trims, and the 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel sits right in the middle. It’s part of the BackCountry Edition, competing directly against vehicles like Ford F-150 or the Chevrolet Silverado Trailboss.

Its V6 hybrid engine runs on gasoline. It takes about 10 km/L and has a fuel capacity of about 120L. The new model kept its traditional strength. It can handle a payload of up to 1,800 pounds, with a torque capacity of 269 lb-ft and horsepower of 305. 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel also comes with an eight-speed transmission, which can be shifted from automatic to manual.

Interior Details

The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel is as comfortable as it looks from the outside. It’s a very spacious car, with five seats, foldable back seats, and a leather steering wheel. All seats can recline reasonably; the driver’s seat has four lumbar settings. The seats can be covered in black cloth or vinyl and have a lot of legroom: nearly 1.5m for all seats.

Tech and Safety Features

If you like technological cars, you’ll love the 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel. It has plenty of tech features to make your ride safer and your journey more pleasant. Bring your favourite music with you wherever you go, with a sound system signed by Harman & Kardon. There are 19 speakers around the car, with a 900W capacity. All tech features are controlled through a 12-inch screen, one of the largest screens on the market.

The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel is also packed with safety features. It has pre-collision and post-collision safety systems, controls for traction and stability, dusk-sensing lamps, pressure monitors on tires, and much more. It’s compatible with both Apple and Android operating systems. This model also has an active noise reduction system, making for a quite silent ride.

Trims and Price Range

The 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel is a medium trim in a lineup of six pickups. It’s quite similar to Laramie, although Rebel is considered a superior trim. Both models are part of the BackCountry Edition, with fantastic off-road features. There are two options for this trim, as explained below.
