Powertrain and Performance
The Ram 1500 Sport is built around the mid-level powertrain options of the regular range, based on a 5.7L V8 engine making a mammoth 395 horsepower and 410lb-ft of torque. As you'd expect for a truck aimed firmly at the Canadian market, all-wheel drive is standard, all the better to deal with tough winter conditions. The powertrain is completed by a silky eight-speed automatic transmission, which in combination with the power steering makes for a smooth and comfortable drive.
