2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe

The unique combination of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle with open-air driving is available in the form of the 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. If you’re considering making the most of the clean energy vehicle incentives from the government, then look no further than this Jeep PHEV.

Hybrid innovation means that performance and drive experience weren’t compromised when making this green version of the classic Wrangler. Read on to find out what it costs and what it can do.

Performance and Range

The 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder PHEV engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission to deliver 375 horsepower. The combined fuel-economy rating is 4.8 Le per 100 km. The 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has an all-electric range of 35km, and the total hybrid range is 592km, so feel free to explore.

The three driving modes allow you to change to best fit the current conditions. Choose electric to engage the battery and only use torque from the engine when needed. Hybrid still prioritizes electric, and eSave switches to gas, saving your battery for later.

The 400-volt battery comes together with two electric motors providing the performance you expect from a Wrangler but with almost silent off-roading. It’s waterproof, so it’ll keep you going even in challenging conditions.

Models and Pricing

The 4x4 comes in two trims. Both are four-door vehicles with keyless entry and push-button start. The Sahara starts at $59,995. It has a sport suspension, 20-inch painted aluminum wheels and all-season tires. It comes with silver grille inserts, leather-trimmed seats and the Black Freedom Top 3-piece modular hardtop roof.

Prices for the Rubicon start at $62,995. It has a performance suspension, 17-inch wheels and 33-inch off-road all-terrain tires. You get the Rok-Trac 4x4 system with the Tru-Lok front and rear locking differentials. The bezels and grille inserts are grey, the seats are cloth with the Rubicon logo, and the roof is the black vinyl Sunrider soft top.

Safety and Technology

Both models have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a 7-inch driver information display and the Alpine audio system. The Uconnect 4C NAV multimedia system is on an 8.4-inch touchscreen display with wireless connectivity and voice command.

You’ll be kitted out with the technology to make your adventure a safe one. The Sahara and the Rubicon have rear cameras, tire pressure monitoring displays and Electronic Stability Control with trailer sway control, hill start assist and electronic roll mitigation.

The blind spot monitoring comes with rear cross-path detection, and this Jeep PHEV has adaptive cruise control.

Where Will It Take You?

If you’re ready for adventure, then you can see just how far the Wrangler 4xe will take you. Getting off-road and into nature is a more authentic experience in an electric Jeep.
