Sahara Features
The standard infotainment for the SUV is a UCONNECT® 4C NAV with an 8.4-inch display. The system has wireless capabilities, which is ideal for communication, streaming audio and navigation. The Alpine Premium Audio System provides excellent audio quality for any streamed music or radio station. The HUD comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that quickly connects devices.
Weather-proof push-button start is a handy feature for any driver, reducing the chance of minor car accidents. The SUV comes equipped with two front and one rear tow hooks, complementing the vehicle’s towing capacity. A 12-volt auxiliary power outlet offers a quick way to charge small devices.
Parking Assist, Forward-Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and a Forward-Facing Camera help keep you safe while on the road. Adaptive Cruise Control will maintain the set distance between you and the vehicle ahead, braking and accelerating as necessary. Forward-Collision Warning will alert you to possible collisions and apply braking to prevent them.
Exterior, Interior and Seating
There are 11 colour options available for this SUV. While most options, such as Black, Bright White, Silver Zenith and Sting-Grey, are free, three of the options require an additional cost. Punk’n Metallic, Granite Crystal Metallic and Hydro Blue Pearl will cost between $395 and $495 extra.
The interior has three colour options: a Black interior with Black seats, a Black interior with Heritage Tan seats and a Black interior with Dark Saddle seats. The Dark Saddle seat option will affect the material, upgrading you to the leather seats for an additional $1,695. The default seat option is a cloth bucket seat with the Sahara logo.
Power, Performance and Price
There are three engine options available for the Sahara. The 2.0L DOHC I-4 DI turbocharged engine with stop and go comes standard. The 3.6L Pentastar™ VVT V6 engine with stop and start and the 3.6L Pentastar™ VVT V6 engine with eTorque adds to the price. The standard engine outputs 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This same engine lets the SUV tow a maximum weight of 1587 Kg, ideal for multiple trailer options.
The 8-Speed Torqueflite® Automatic Transmission offers a comfortable and smooth driving experience. The transmission comes standard with the model’s starting price of $57,290. This starting price can quickly climb as you add additional features or upgrade from the standard engine. Upgrading to the 3.6L Pentastar™ stop and go costs an additional $200, while the eTorque option costs an additional $400.
