The $52,740* Tradesman has different features and performance specifications than the $70,090* Sport.
Engine and Transmission
The Tradesman has better fuel economy compared to the Sport, with its highway rating of 9.4L/100 km. This efficiency beats the Sport’s 10.5L/100 km highway fuel efficiency. However, the Tradesman horsepower is only 305 hp compared to the more significant 395 hp. Additionally, the Sport model lacks a 2x4 drive, whereas the Tradesman has both 4x4 and 4x2 drive.
The Tradesman’s 18-inch steel wheels come equipped with BSW all-season tires, while the Sport receives 20-inch Black painted aluminum wheels that come with OWL all-season tires. Both models have Automatic LED headlamps, but the higher trim receives black bezel detailing. The Sport also comes with better mirrors that are auto-dimming and power-folding.
Design and Comfort
The trim comes standard with heated front seating and a heated steering wheel to keep you warm on cold days. The 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system is equipped with Uconnect 5, a comprehensive suite of features that helps you communicate hands-free. The model has a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat with power pedals and two-way lumbar support for added comfort.
Helping with cargo storage is rear under-seat compartment storage. The trim has a Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof on crew cab models.
Safety Features and Driver’s Assistance
Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and Rain Brake Support helps keep you safe in any weather. Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, and Electronic Roll Mitigation help you stay stable on the road, whether you’re climbing a hill or driving on a slippery surface.
Other safety features include four-wheel antilock disc brakes with Brake Assist and Tire pressure monitoring display, helping you stay on top of your driving and braking capabilities. Additionally, this trim comes with a rear window defroster and an Engine block heater.
A Powerful Performance
The 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission with E-shifter help deliver the powerful 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
A Higher Trim
While the higher trim options cost more, the 2023 RAM 1500 Sport offers plenty of new features compared to its base model. Contact your local dealership for more information, or book a test drive if you’re ready to try the trim out.
