Dodge Challenger Hellcat in Waterloo Review

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat brandishes numbers to slay the most pumped up of muscle cars. We’re excited to announce that we have one here on our lot at Bustard Chrysler in Waterloo. Spring is nigh and it’s time for this hellish kitty to come out to play!

With a 6.2 L Supercharged HEMI V8 engine, this Hellcat outputs a whopping 707 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque. It blows past other pony-cars in its class including the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, and even Dodge’s own Viper.

Many of your already know that two key fobs come with the Hellcat. The black fob is for the more timid, and the red fob is for when you’re looking to burn some rubber. The black key fob restricts output, capping revs at 4,000 and fully activating the electronic stability control system. It disables the paddle shifters, deactivates launch control, and other drive-mode functions, reducing the hiss of the Cat. Fire up the red key fob, however, and that hiss will become a fierce growl (literally!). All 707 HP and every drive-mode function will be available to the driver with the insertion of the red key fob. This is the car to drive if you’re looking for something fast enough to kick ass on the track and furious enough to scare other cars outta your way on the highway! You won’t find a faster car for less money!

To think this fierce kitty came out of Brampton, Ontario. We Southern Ontarians are blessed to have something so incredible manufactured in our midst! The Hellcat is a big car, sharing its platform with the Charger and 300. The larger center of mass makes it more stable, but also somewhat less responsive around sharp turns, meaning it performs best in a drag race. The interior is comfortable whether you’re on the track or running errands. The heated and ventilated front bucket seats provide exceptional support with relatively roomy rear seats for kids and adults alike. The rears fold if you need more trunk space, but the trunk is so roomy you probably won’t ever need to fold them down.

The gigantic 8.4” UConnect touchscreen display houses many fun features, most notably Dodge’s Performance pages. We live in a gadget driven society, so it only makes sense that our muscle cars be on the cutting edge of technology and entertainment. Dodge integrates all of that with UConnect and Performance Pages. “SRT Drive Mode” and “Performance Pages” do just what thousands of dollars’ worth of professional performance data-logging equipment used to, ensuring you get the most out of your SRT Hellcat! Altering the settings within the SRT Drive Mode and Performance Pages allows you  to make factory authorized changes to vehicle parameters without voiding the warranty. This used to be unheard of! You can modify your Cat’s engine, transmission, shocks, traction control, steering feel, and traction control. You can also activate launch control RPM, save time slip tickets, set your lap timer, drag strip timer, brake distance meter, and much more!
