St. Patrick's Day Events in Kitchener-Waterloo and Listowel!

St. Patrick's Day Events in Kitchener-Waterloo and Listowel!

St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and in case you don’t have plans yet, there are tons of great events taking place across Listowel and Kitchener-Waterloo tomorrow and through to the end of the week!

Listowel has been celebrating St. Patrick for over a week already, and will continue to celebrate until this Saturday March 21st with Paddyfest 2015. Sponsored by the Kinsmen Club of Listowel, the event celebrates Listowel’s Irish heritage, offering two full weeks of activities for people of all ages! Some fantastic artists are highlighting the festival, including Shania Twin (we swear you won’t know the difference!) on Thursday, March 19th, Tebey on Friday, March 20th, and renowned Canadian rock band Treble Charger this Saturday, March 21st!

If you feel the luck of the Irish is with you, it’s definitely in your best interest to buy a ticket for the Listowel Paddyfest Lottery. Tickets are available for $100 and proceeds will support the North Perth Elementary Schools Technology Fund as well as Listowel Community Betterment. The Grand Prize is 1 of 5 vehicles from the Listowel Car City dealers (including a brand new Grand Caravan from yours truly at Bustard Chrysler in Listowel!).

On St. Patrick’s Day, the St. Patrick’s Day Sampler will be happening at Kin Station in Listowel from 11 am to 11 pm. The menu features some delicious traditional Irish fare with Irish stew available all day, and Beef short rib poutine for dinner.

And the fun won’t stop on St. Patrick's Day in Listowel, with more fun activities filling out the rest of the week. You can check out the schedule at http://listowelpaddyfest2.wix.com/paddyfest1#!calendar/c17us for more details.

Listowel’s Paddyfest will come to a close on Saturday, March 21st. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be taking place Downtown Listowel on Saturday, March 21st at 11 am. You can check out last year’s Paddyfest parade on Youtube! Some fun and family friendly children’s programming will take place throughout the afternoon and the day will be rounded out with a live performance by Canadian rock stars Treble Charger at the Listowel Memorial Arena. You can get your tickets at select locations in Listowel including Chocolates on Main, Life’s a Party, Shopper’s Drug Mart, Zehrs, and Bakelarr Jewelers.

Kitchener Waterloo may not have an Irish history, but there are still plenty of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations going on throughout the Region!

Children’s entertainer Eric Traplin will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow at 11 am at the Kitchener Market. Later in the day, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm, the Market will be hosting the St. Patrick’s Day Party where you can sample local craft beer, enjoy some traditional music and get your face painted!

Up in Waterloo’s Public Square, the City of Waterloo will be hosting the family friendly Shamrock Shake Up from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. It’s a great way to have some St. Patrick’s Day fun without dipping into your pot of golf. This alcohol free event will feature free Irish entertainment and the Great Pot-of-Gold Treasure Hunt.

Whether you’re Irish or not, may the luck of the Irish be with you as you celebrate this wonderful day.
