April 25

Business After 5: Join for an evening of networking, art, diverse exhibitions and drinks. Presented by Home Hardware Building Center and Furniture Stores within the Greater KW Chamber of Commerce. This event attracts over 100 business professionals to connect and network with one another. You can also promote your business by hosting an exhibit booth. Event takes place Tuesday, April 25thfrom 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Check out the Chamber of Commerce site for more info!
 
Small Food Business Networking Session – Waterloo Region: If you have a food business idea and want to find out how to make it a reality, if you are looking for a commercial kitchen, or if you want to better understand working with the City of Kitchener licensing and Region of Waterloo Public Health, you should plan to attend this networking event geared towards Small Food Businesses. WingsUp for Epilepsy: Join WingsUp for their 18th Annual Chicken Wing Competition on April 26th! Enjoy ALL YOU CAN EAT WINGS, live music from the Shananigans, amazing raffle prizes, and fun games for the whole family! Doors open at 6:00 pm with food served at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $35, and advanced tickets can be purchased HERE. Event takes place Wednesday, April 26th from 6:00-9:30 pm at the Concordia Club (429 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, ON).

Heart Healthy Cooking: Join this free dietician-led class to learn how to decrease sodium in your cooking. Small samples and recipes provided. Please register with Chelsea Allen at chelsa.allen@sobeys.ca in advance. Event takes place Thursday, April 27th from 2:00-3:30 pm at Sobeys Northfield (640 Parkside Dr., Waterloo, ON).
 
Fashion for Life 2017: At Fashion for Life you’ll enjoy an evening of fashion and fun, featuring the Region’s top retailers. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres from Wildcraft Catering and a live auction with prizing valued at over $10, 000! This event is in support of the Cambridge Memorial Hospital reconstructive surgery unit and will help to fund specialized operating room equipment, specialized instruments, and training for support staff. April 28

Final Fridays: Final Fridays showcases art, culture, and cuisine of Uptown Waterloo on the last Friday of every month. Activities and events include exhibit openings, performances, community art, demonstrations, artist talks and reading, in addition to dinner, drinks, and specials at restaurants. Event takes place 11:00 am to 11:00 pm in Uptown Waterloo, beginning at Waterloo Public Square (75 King St. S., Waterloo).
 

April 29

Art and Antique Appraisal Day: Specialists from Bonhans Canada are on site to offer verbal appraisals for fine art (paintings, drawings, prints) and decorative art (china, collectibles, clocks, furniture, and accessories). Appraisal cost is $14 per item. Event takes place Saturday, April 29th from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm at Queen’s Square (1 North Square, Cambridge, ON).
 

April 30

Play with Clay: Play with Clay is an open clay studio experience designed for friends, families, and couples. Over two Sundays, make an object out of clay and paint with our glazes. It gets fired in the Clay and Glass Gallery kiln and then you can pick up your colourful and unique masterpiece. There are two sessions to choose from each Sunday – 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm, and 2:30-4:00 on a first come, first served basis. Cost is $10. Event begins Sunday April 30th at the Clay and Glass Gallery (25 Caroline St. N., Waterloo).
