There’s always something awesome going on in Waterloo Region! In fact, whether you’re looking to experience some art, enjoy some good grub, put on your dancing shoes, or learn something new, Waterloo is a cultural hub with a ton of great activities for people of all ages to enjoy!
We’ve compiled a list of some of the great entertaining and educational events taking place across the Region this week!

Singin’ in the Rain: Drayton Entertainment’s sensational adaptation of the celebrated film. Set in 1920s Hollywood, this is a light hearted, romantic comedy about the early days of sound film. This production runs until April 15 at the St. Jacob’s Country Playhouse (40 Benjamin Road. E., Waterloo). Buy tickets HERE.
Million Dollar Quartet: Drayton Entertainment’s hit musical inspired by the legendary recording session featuring Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley at Sun Records in Memphis. Runs April 11th to May 7th at the Dunfield Theatre in Cambridge. Buy tickets HERE.

Job Search Strategies at the Working Center: Learn how to develop a job search campaign that targets your specific career goals, and how to effectively search for a company and role that fits you best. Takes place on April 10th from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at The Working Center (285 Weber St. N., Waterloo).

Grand River New Horizons Music: Grand River New Horizons offers a concert band setting for people who want to play, want to play better, and who want to start again with opportunities for those who have never played. Takes place Tuesday mornings from 8:30am to 11:00 am– at the KW Naval Association (315 Weber St. North, Waterloo).
April 13
Kitchener Blue Festival Launch Party: One day concert to raise funds for the Blues Festival plus announcement of lineup for the Kitchener Blues Festival happening in July 2017. Entertainment by the Paul Reddick band featuring Steve Marriner with special guest Sean Pinchin. Takes place April 13th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Wax Nightclub (125 King St. W., Kitchener). April 14
Good Friday Free Skate: Free indoor family skating sponsored by Kitchener Utilities at Activa Sportsplex. Takes place April 14th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Activa Sportsplex (135 Lennox Lewis Way in Kitchener). Check out the City of Kitchener public skating schedule HERE.
Easter Fun at the Waterloo Region Museum: From April 14-17, kids can take part in daily Easter themed activities and games, including stories and much more. Takes place each day from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Waterloo Region Museum (10 Huron Road, Kitchener)
April 15
Stitch ‘n’ Kitsch Handmade Market: A bi-annual craft show featuring emerging and established artisans (both members and non members of the Stitch and Kitsch Collective) who produce kitschy, handmade items. Takes place April 15thfrom 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at 16 William St. W in Waterloo.
Easter Bunny Train from Market: Join the Easter Bunny on a heritage train ride with Waterloo Central Railway through historic Mennonite country from the St. Jacob’s Market Station for a leisurely 2 hour ride to visit the town of St. Jacob’s or Elmira for a stopover. Takes place on April 15th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, departing from the St. Jacob’s Market (878 Weber St. N., Waterloo).

Easter Brunch at Bingemans: Enjoy a delicious Easter brunch with the family with a wide variety of meal options for everyone. Adults $26.95 plus tax, kids $14.95 plus tax. Takes place 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on April 16th at Bingemans (425 Bingemans Center Dr., Kitchener) Purchase your tickets HERE.
