Whether you’re a contractor who’s always on a job, or you enjoy the odd tailgate party, RAM knows that some hardworking truck owners need a little extra storage space in their pickup! Here at Bustard Chrysler in Waterloo, we’re real big fans of the RAMBox Cargo Management System, which comes in pretty handy no matter the job. In fact, it’s probably one of our favourite RAM truck features! It offers convenient and secure storage for your gear - from work tools and sporting equipment to refreshments!
Which trucks is the RamBox Cargo Management System available on?
RAM released the RAMBox in 2009, at which time it was only available on RAM 1500 models with a 5’7” bed. This was updated for 2012 models to include over 80% of available RAM trucks. For both 2019 RAMS and 2020 RAMS, the RAM Box Cargo Management System continues to be available for most configurations, from regular cab, light-duty RAM 1500s to heavy-duty, single wheel, RAM 3500 Mega Cabs! Depending on your truck’s configuration, the RAMBox is available on both 5’7” (50.5” RAMBox length) and 6’4” (60” RAMBox length) truck beds (but not the 8’ bed).
What is included with the RamBox Cargo Management System?
Love trucks but miss having a vehicle with a locking trunk? Don’t fret - the RAMBox Cargo Management System is like having not one, but TWO small-sized trunks on the sides of your truck bed. The two RAMBoxes (ranging from 7.3 cubic feet to 8.6 cubic feet depending on bed size) on opposite sides of your truck cab contain deep front and rear wells, as well as a shallower, flat section for all your storage needs. The RAMBox Cargo Management System includes the following features and accessories:
• Built-in cargo box lighting
• Cargo bed-rails with adjustable tie-downs
• Cargo bed extender and divider

Why RAMBox?
The RAMBox is durable and efficient, and provides a safe, handy place to store tools and other items. It’s convenient, and out of the way, and even fits items as large as shovels and fishing poles. It’s a common misconception that the RAMBox takes up valuable space in your truck bed, but this just isn’t true! The versatile RAMBox hardly takes up any cab space and still offers plenty of room for equipment and toys – from sheets of plywood to all-terrain vehicles. In fact, the RAMBox gives you all the conventional cargo-carrying capacity you need and can fit standard 4’x8’ sheets of building materials regardless of bed size!

• The RAMBox is illuminated, so you can find your stuff in the dark (and during those cloudy days!).
• The RAMBox locks so you can securely store your tools, all while not worrying about dirtying a clean cab.
• The RAMBox is FULLY drainable, so when you want to get the grime out, you just have to open it, empty it out, and hose it off. This also means you can fill it with ice to store pop and snacks for the kiddos’ soccer and baseball teams...or store adult beverages for your tailgate party!
• The RAMBox includes a 115-V power outlet that functions when the engine is running or in Accessory Mode.
• The available AllSecure remote security system makes it possible to lock and unlock your RAMBox with your keyfob!
